After years of experience in the pizza industry, Jason and Amber founded Red Tomato Pies in Williams Lake to pursue their vision of innovative pizza-making. Their unique approach led to rapid expansion across Western Canada, with locations now in several cities.

Our Mission

At Red Tomato Pies, we infuse every pizza with fresh ideas and the finest ingredients. Handcrafted with love, each pizza promises a renewed and exceptional experience, ensuring you can taste and feel the difference in every bite.

The Journey

Our journey began with a simple love for pizza and a vision for something more. Initially, Jason was part of another pizza chain, working at their location in Williams Lake. It was there that he partnered with the existing owner, learning the ropes and developing a deep appreciation for the art of pizza-making. After a few years, Jason decided to part ways and explore new horizons.

Building Our Foundation

Under the same pizza chain, we moved to Golden and opened a new location, eventually expanding to Cranbrook as well. During this time, Amber joined Jason, learning the pizza business over the next few years.

As a newly wed couple we managed separate locations for a while, but once we decided to start our family, we moved back to Golden to settle down while still managing both stores with the help of family.

A couple years later, when our daughter was on the way, we decided it was time to sell both the Golden and Cranbrook locations and moved back to Williams Lake, to be closer to family and ready for a fresh start.

Back in Williams Lake, we began reflecting on our experiences. We had countless ideas about what made a pizza great and what could be improved in the franchise model. We often felt our voices weren’t heard, and our innovative ideas for pizzas didn’t always get the attention they deserved. We realized we wanted to push the boundaries of pizza creativity, and the best way to do that was to venture out on our own.

Expanding Our Vision

Things came full circle and we bought back the Williams Lake location where Jason originally started his pizza career, but this time running it under our own brand, Red Tomato Pies. After two years, we heard the business we sold in Golden was available for sale again, and we bought it back, too, turning it into our second RTP location. Our third location was in Quesnel and received an amazing response, followed by our fourth location in Kamloops, which significantly boosted our brand awareness and opened more doorways for us to consider franchising our brand more seriously. Since then, locations have opened up in Dawson Creek, Prince George, Mission, Chilliwack, a second location in Kamloops (Downtown), Penticton and Kelowna.
